Mahogany Handrail

This Mahogany handrail is in a private residance. Looking at the photos before it was re-polished, the handrail is in poor repair and the finish has become very dull. The important point here though is that it's the finish that's damaged and not the underlying wood. When the old finish was carefully stripped off, the wood underneath was revealed to be in very good condition, with only a few dents and scratches to deal with.

The after photos show the handrail has been taken to a beautiful high gloss, which works well in this house. It's important to note that this could just as easily be taken to a satin or even semi-matt finish.
