This Wenge floor is part of a project run and designed by Blanchard. They wanted the colour to be much darker than the natural Wenge colour, but still retain the figure of the wood.
To achieve this, each floor board was assessed for colour and stained accordingly. Individual boards where later coloured using tints to match the rest of floor. French Polish with top coats of a high quality flooring Lacquer was then used to achieve this beautiful finish.
No machinery was used in our process (sanders, sprays, etc...), ensuring that each board was cared for separately and that no machine marks would exist in the wood or the finish.
The result of colouring and finishing a floor in this way is apparent in the beautiful depth of finish and the even colour across the floor.
